Welcome to the Department of New Mexico Gaines T. Evans American Legion Post 44 located in Elephant Butte, New Mexico, USA.
We are Legionnaires, Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Riders Chapter 5, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 44 of The American Legion Family.
The Post 44 canteen is open daily 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m., except Thanksgiving and Christmas, to members and bonafide guests. Our gaming room is also open daily during canteen hours to members only. We have pull tabs and pool tables for your enjoyment and often have live entertainment during regular and special activities. Check out the latest Calendar to find out what’s happening.
