Post Commander – Kathy Baca
Hello Post 44. I want to begin by saying thank you for all your donations for the new stove. The cost was $6,192 and we raised all the money we needed. The only cost the Post incurred was for parts for the installation. We only had to pay for parts because the company we hired took the old stove in trade for labor.

I’d like to send out a special thank you to the Legion Family (Sons, Riders, Auxiliary, and Activities Committee) for their generous donations.

Now that the stove is installed we can get back to business as usual. Wednesday dinners are back on and so is the Friday Grill.

Thanks everyone for welcoming me in as your Commander. I have received a warm reception. Please know that I am here for you and what is best for the Post.

Reminder that our Annual Golf Tournament is Aug 26th. We are still looking for 4-person teams, sponsors, and donated items for the raffle or silent auction. It will
be a fun time and I look forward to seeing you all there.

Post Commander – Kathy Baca
Greetings Post 44. My name is Kathy Baca and I am honored to be your first female Commander. I served in the Marines from 1984-94. I am looking forward to working with everyone to better serve our vets in the area. My main goal is to implement a program that will help our vets get the benefits they deserve. I look forward to getting comments from our members to help me with this goal.

Don’t forget on July 4th we will be serving hot dogs to help celebrate our Independence Day. Though our stove still needs to be replaced, we will be having a Wednesday dinner on July 5th. It will consist of brisket and beans that were left over from the Father’s Day dinner.

As your new Commander, I look forward to serving our Post 44 family.
