On May 5th The riders rode to Arrey leaving at 8:30 for a cool ride and a great breakfast, then went in search of Stanley the camel. Stanley is still alive and well. They rode back through Garfield.

Riders rode to Las Cruces to meet the riders for “Run for the Wall.” The riders come from all states and ride from California to DC in support of MIA and POW issues. In DC they join “Rolling Thunder,” a demonstration parade in support of POW MIA issues.

The ride was up on the interstate and back on the old highway. It solved hunger problems and a need for some open road.

Riders are attending and helping with Poppy day and the Memorial Day services in Truth or Consequences. They are invited to join Duffy Saturday putting out flags. Then ceremonies Monday at the New Cemetery, Old Cemetery, Park, and The Wall. Some plan to leave for Silver City after flags Saturday to attend Blues and Bikes Blue Grass
Festival returning Sunday.

Chapter 5 ALR riders rode to Hatch on April 10th with a couple of visiting Legion riders from Palmer, Pennsylvania. We especially enjoyed their company and an opportunity to ride and socialize.

On April 26 the American Legion Riders and the American Legion cooperated and moved a wheel chair ramp and porch from a veteran’s place that no longer needed it to another veteran in need of it. It was pure pleasure to watch the men use their expertise and knowledge to accomplish this job in short order. The ramp was much appreciated.
