Sons of the American Legion- Commander Gene Hill

The Sons of the American Legion held their monthly meeting on March 17. In attendance were Deone Hardy, Donnie Polstin, Bob Nellis, Tillman Smith, Bill Nenno, Bill Laswell and Gene Hill.

In Memory

Patrick Oberg passed away March 04, 2015. Pat was a 7 year member of the Sons of The American Legion. The Legion Family sends condolences to his wife and family.

Membership

The SAL gained 2 new members in February and March. Make welcome Gary Britton and Tom Murphy.

I would like to take this time to remind all members that their dues are due for 2015. We still have a number of members that haven’t renewed. The Bartenders at the post will be happy to take your money and give you a receipt. If you want your new card mailed to you be sure and make this notation on your receipt or they will be at the post.

Meals

On April 22, members of the SAL will be cooking Stuffed Bell Peppers, with baked potatoes, mix vegetables, salad and rolls. Come out and enjoy.

Business

Remember we have flag poles and replacement flags for sale. See your Bartenders or any members of the SAL.

The election of officers for the SAL will be at the monthly meeting in April. If you would like to become an officer let me know or better yet be at our next meeting.

Our next meeting April 21, at 6:30 PM at the post

As always, remember that organizations are not really organizations, they are just people. Help out when you can and when you see them, thank those that do help out and let’s all work together for the common good.

Thanks for supporting our Post, our Community and most of all —the Veteran
