Hello American Legion Post 44 families. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

The District 7 meeting went well. We received a lot of compliments on how friendly our members are and how clean our facility is. The district voted and donated $1000.00 towards the retaining wall.

Our annual Christmas party is on December 16 at 3:00 p.m. don’t forget to bring a gift so you can participate in the White elephant gift exchange.

Once again, American Legion Post 44 comes together to help someone in need. Luke‘s fundraiser raised over $1,000 and he is very grateful. I am in awe of our family and thank everyone who helped make this fundraiser a success. We had a great crowd for the Halloween costume contest/potluck/gaming giveaway on Oct 28th . Congrats to contest winners Fran Helzer “Mae West” for 1st , Jeff Patton “Wolf Man” for 2nd , and Kristin Saavedra “Voodoo Doll” for 3rd. Special thanks to NM Gaming, LLC for the gaming prizes and to our Activities Committee for a fun event! I would also like to give a shout out to our bartenders. They work hard and deserve to be praised.

We are hosting the fall District 7 Legion and Auxiliary Meetings on Sat Nov 4th beginning at 9:00 so there will not be a Flea Mkt in Nov. All members are encouraged to attend. Don’t forget on Nov 11th we will be having sub sandwiches from noon-3 in honor of Veterans Day.
